From Berea to Memphis

Iain Feeney is the Founder and CEO of Stacklumen, a software and web development company building enterprise-grade websites, web applications and digital infrastructure. His work focuses on bridging the gap between design and software engineering, enabling organizations to deploy sophisticated digital products that combine exceptional visual design with scalable backend functionality.

Iain graduated summa cum laude from Berea College in 2021 with a degree in Political Science, receiving the C. Louis Smith Award and the Albert G. Weidler Award for excellence in political science scholarship, and is now a Senior MBA Candidate at American Military University. Alongside that study, Stacklumen grew into a development company serving businesses ranging from local organizations to enterprise clients. That philosophy means integrating automation, client portals, CRM systems, custom applications and AI-powered workflows into cohesive digital ecosystems.

Iain's background runs well beyond software. Iain spent about three months with the Memphis Police Department, two of them as a Police Recruit, completing eight weeks of firearms, constitutional law and emergency vehicle operations (EVOC) training before leaving to pursue work in the private sector. There, Iain served as an Armed Security Operations Manager, work where preparation, procedure and accountability are not optional. About two years at SpotOn as a Technology Sales Representative, in Lexington and Memphis, selling restaurant technology and helping develop it, added the other side of the table: hearing what buyers actually need from a product, and why it does or doesn't earn a place in their work. Both still shape how Stacklumen runs — plans written down, responsibilities clear, and every problem owned by someone.

Under his leadership, Stacklumen has developed an expanding suite of proprietary products designed to accelerate modern web development, alongside the Stacklumen Development Framework. These platforms reflect a commitment to making enterprise-caliber development faster, more maintainable, and more accessible for organizations adopting no-code and hybrid engineering workflows.

Known for meticulous attention to detail and systems-oriented thinking, he combines technical architecture, branding, user experience and business strategy into a unified development process. Projects pair a visual editing surface with custom engineering underneath, letting clients keep day-to-day control of their own content without sacrificing performance or extensibility.

A former NCAA Division III soccer player and a Licensed U.S. Soccer Coach who coached for three years in Memphis, he carries that competitive mindset into entrepreneurship, and writes regularly about web development, digital product strategy, branding and the future of no-code engineering — advocating for a higher standard of craftsmanship across the modern web. The long-term vision is to establish Stacklumen as one of the world's leading engineering firms for design-driven web applications: proof that visually exceptional experiences and sophisticated software architecture can, and should, exist together.
